We process personal data in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Visiting this website
When you visit this website, our Swiss hosting provider records technical access data (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) in server logs to operate and secure the site. Logs are kept for no longer than 30 days. The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers. Fonts are served from our own server.
Data you enter in the app
In the current version, everything you enter or import (date of birth, sex, test results and imported Garmin Connect export files) is processed and stored only in your own browser. It is not sent to us. You can delete single values or all data in the app, or by clearing your browser's site data.
Connecting a Garmin account
Once a direct Garmin connection is available, you can choose to link your Garmin Connect account. You then authorize Garmin to send us the following data:
- daily steps
- resting heart rate
- heart rate variability
- VO₂max
- body composition (body fat percentage, weight)
We do not request GPS tracks, location, women's health data or contacts. We store this data together with your email address and profile (date of birth, sex) on servers in Switzerland.
Why we process your data
We use your data only to calculate your fitness percentiles compared with people of your age and sex, and to show how they change over time. Health data is sensitive personal data. We process it only with your explicit consent, which you give when you connect Garmin or enter data. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, use it for advertising, or use it to make decisions about you.
Who receives your data
- Garmin sends your data to us after you authorize it, under Garmin's own privacy policy. We do not send data back to Garmin.
- Our hosting provider in Switzerland stores the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
No one else receives your data unless the law requires it. Your data is not transferred outside Switzerland.
How long we keep it
We keep your data as long as your account exists. If you disconnect Garmin, we stop receiving Garmin data and delete the Garmin data we hold within 30 days. If you delete your account, we delete all of your data within 30 days.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct and delete your data, and withdraw your consent at any time, by disconnecting Garmin or deleting your account. You can also write to us at alex.kobler@bluewin.ch to exercise your rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability and objection. You can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to stored data is limited to the people who operate the service.
Age limit
Agegrouper is intended for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
We will publish changes to this policy on this page and announce material changes in the app before they take effect.
